Prashansa meaning
Prashansa (प्रशंसा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Praise, commendation, fame, glory
Prashansa (प्रशंसा) is the Sanskrit and Hindi word for praise. Monier-Williams gives praśaṃsā as praise, commendation, fame and glory, from the verb śaṃs, "to praise", with the prefix pra-; Buddhist texts count praise among the eight worldly conditions. In everyday Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati, prashansa still means appreciation or applause, so the name is easy to understand across India. Baby-name lists give the same meaning, praise or admiration. It is also spelt Prashamsa.
