Pratham meaning
Pratham (प्रथम) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
First, foremost; earliest, original; chief, principal, most excellent
Pratham (प्रथम) is the Sanskrit prathama, "first". Monier-Williams gives it as first or foremost in time, order or rank, as earliest and original, and as chief, principal and most excellent. Grammarians used the same word for the first consonant of each group of letters and for the nominative case. In Hindi pratham is still the ordinary word for "first", as in pratham shreni, "first class". Name lists give "first" or "foremost", the same as the dictionary. Some families choose it for a first-born son, though it is used for any boy.
