Raavi meaning
Raavi (रावी) is a Hindu girl's name of Hindi and Punjabi origin (from Sanskrit). By its first sound, रा, it is a Tula rashi name (Chitra nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
The river Ravi of the Punjab (Sanskrit Irāvatī)
Raavi (रावी) is the name of the Ravi, one of the five rivers of the Punjab. Monier-Williams lists its Sanskrit name, Irāvatī, citing the Mahabharata and the Puranas, and notes that the river is now called Rāvī; Irāvatī is also given as a name of Durgā. Name lists give Raavi as "river", though some offer "sounding" or "sun rays", which we could not trace to a dictionary. It should not be confused with the boys' name Ravi (रवि), "the sun", which is a different word.
