Sanjivani meaning
Sanjivani (संजीवनी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Making alive, causing life; a reviving elixir or herb
Also used to mean: life-giving
Sanjivani (संजीवनी) is Sanskrit saṃjīvanī, from saṃ-jīv, "to live, come back to life". Monier-Williams glosses it as making alive or causing life, a kind of elixir, and a plant, and notes it as the title of Mallinātha's well-known commentaries on Kālidāsa. In the Rāmāyaṇa tradition the sañjīvanī herb is the one Hanumān carries from the Himalaya to revive Lakṣmaṇa. Name lists give "life-giving" or "reviving", the dictionary sense. The name is used in Maharashtra and Karnataka.
