Shashwati meaning
Shashwati (शाश्वती) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Eternal, constant, perpetual; (f.) the earth
Also used to mean: everlasting
Shashwati (शाश्वती) is the feminine of Sanskrit śāśvata, "eternal, constant, perpetual". Monier-Williams also records śāśvatī by itself as a name for the earth, the everlasting one, and gives the neuter śāśvata as continuity or eternity; the masculine is a name of Śiva and of the sage Vyāsa. The phrase śāśvatībhyaḥ samābhyaḥ, "for endless years", appears in old texts. Name lists give Shashwati as "eternal" or "everlasting", the dictionary meaning. In Bengal the name is usually written Saswati; a few sites connect that spelling with Saraswati, but it is the same word as Shashwati.
