Sugandha meaning
Sugandha (सुगंधा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Fragrant; fragrance, perfume; also sacred basil
Sugandha (सुगंधा) joins su-, "good", with gandha, "smell, scent". Monier-Williams gives sugandha as "a fragrant smell, fragrance, a perfume" and as the adjective "fragrant". The feminine sugandhā names several fragrant plants, among them sacred basil (tulsi), and an Apsaras of the epics. Name lists give "fragrance" or "sweet-smelling", which matches the dictionary. In Hindi sugandh is still the everyday word for a pleasant scent. Sugandhi is a related South Indian form.
