Tejaswini meaning
Tejaswini (तेजस्विनी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, ते, it is a Tula rashi name (Vishakha nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Brilliant, splendid, energetic; dignified
Tejaswini (तेजस्विनी) is the feminine of Sanskrit tejasvin, "possessing tejas", the brilliance, fire and vital energy of the word tejas. Monier-Williams gives the adjective as "brilliant, splendid, bright, powerful, energetic" and also "dignified, noble". As a separate feminine noun MW lists tejasvinī only as the name of two medicinal plants, so the name's meaning comes from the adjective: a radiant, spirited and dignified woman. Indian name lists give the same sense, bright or radiant, and some link the name with Lakṣmī or Durgā, an association we could not find in the dictionaries. It is a girl's name used across India, and Tejasvi is the shorter form.
