Trishika meaning
Trishika (त्रिशिका) is a Hindu girl's name.
Meaning today
Trident, three-crested
In the dictionaries
The name isn't in the classical dictionaries we use, so it is most likely a modern name. The meaning above is how families commonly use it.
Trishika (त्रिशिका) is a modern girls' name. It does not appear in the Sanskrit dictionaries in this form, but name lists usually explain it as "trident" or "three-crested", which points to Sanskrit triśikha. Monier-Williams gives triśikha as "three-pointed, trident-shaped" and "three-flamed", and as a noun "a trident" or "a three-pointed tiara"; Śiva's trident is the best-known image of the word. Because the name drops the aspirate of śikha, we cannot be sure it was formed from that word, so we list it as a modern name with a probable root.
