Varsha meaning
Varsha (वर्षा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Rain; the rains, the rainy season, the monsoon
Varsha (वर्षा) is the Sanskrit varṣā, "rain". Monier-Williams notes that in the plural it means "the rains, rainy season, monsoon", one of the six seasons of the Indian year, lasting about two months. The closely related varṣa means "rain" or "a shower", used figuratively for a shower of flowers or arrows, and also "a year". In the Puranas varṣa also names the great divisions of the earth, as in Bharatavarsha, an old name for India. Indian name lists give Varsha as "rain", matching the dictionary, and the word remains the everyday Hindi term for rainfall.
