Vijeth meaning
Vijeth (विजेत) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Kannada usage).
Vanquisher, conqueror, also in argument
Also used to mean: victorious
Vijeth (विजेत) is a South Indian boys' name built on Sanskrit vijetṛ, "vanquisher, conqueror", whose usual form is vijetā. It comes from vi-ji, "to conquer", the same root as vijaya, "victory", which gives the name Vijay. Monier-Williams records the word for winning in battle and in argument, and gives "conqueror of the cities" as a title of Shiva. Name lists explain Vijeth as "victorious", which matches the dictionary. In Hindi and Marathi vijetā is the everyday word for the winner of a contest, and in the north Vijeta is used as a girls' name; in Karnataka the shortened Vijeth is given to boys.
