Yogesh meaning
Yogesh (योगेश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, यो, it is a Dhanu rashi name (Mula nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Lord of yoga; a name of Shiva and of Yajnavalkya
Yogesh (योगेश) is Sanskrit yogeśa, from yoga and īśa, "lord", with the vowels merging into e. Monier-Williams gives it the same sense as the neighbouring yogendra and yogeśvara, a master of yoga, and lists it as a name of Śiva and of the sage Yājñavalkya, citing Wilson's dictionary for the Śiva sense. The fuller form yogeśvara is famous from the closing verse of the Bhagavad Gītā (18.78), which speaks of "Kṛṣṇa, the lord of yoga", and Arjuna the archer. Indian name lists give Yogesh as lord of yoga, which matches the dictionary. It is a boy's name used across India.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Shiva.
