Yogeshwar meaning
Yogeshwar (योगेश्वर) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, यो, it is a Dhanu rashi name (Mula nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
A master of Yoga; a deity of contemplation; a name of Krishna
Also used to mean: lord of yoga, Lord Krishna
Yogeshwar (योगेश्वर) joins Sanskrit yoga and īśvara, "lord, master". Monier-Williams gives yogeśvara as a master or adept in Yoga, as a deity who is the object of devout contemplation, and as a name of Krishna and of the sage Yājñavalkya. The best-known use is the closing verse of the Bhagavad Gita, which speaks of the place "where Krishna, the lord of yoga, is" (yatra yogeśvaraḥ kṛṣṇaḥ). The feminine yogeśvarī is a form of Durga. Name lists give Yogeshwar as "lord of yoga" or "Lord Krishna", matching the dictionary. Yogesh, already on the site, is a shorter name with a similar meaning.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Krishna.
