Agniva meaning
Agniva (अग्निभ) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Bengali usage). By its first sound, अ, it is a Mesh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Gold; literally 'shining like fire'
Agniva (अग्निभ, Bengali অগ্নিভ) is a Bengali way of writing Sanskrit agnibha, from agni, "fire", and an ending that means "shining" or "looking like". Monier-Williams glosses the word as "shining like fire" and notes that the Sanskrit lexicons use it as a word for gold. Because Bengali names often write bh as v in English, the same name appears as Agniva, Agnibha and Agniv. Agni is also the Vedic god of fire, to whom the first hymn of the Rigveda is addressed, so the name carries both the glow of fire and the gleam of gold.
