Anisha meaning
Anisha (अनिशा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, अ, it is a Mesh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Uninterrupted, incessant; literally "nightless"
Also used to mean: continuous, supreme
Anisha (अनिशा) is usually traced to Sanskrit aniśa, a-, "without", plus niśā, "night". Monier-Williams gives it as nightless or sleepless and, in compounds, uninterrupted or incessant; the adverb aniśam means "continually". So the name suggests a light that is never broken by night. Some name lists instead give "supreme", which belongs to a different word, anīśa, "having no lord", a name of Vishnu. Both explanations circulate, but the usual spelling with a short i matches aniśa. It is used across India and the diaspora.
