Daniya meaning
Daniya (دانیہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
Near, close at hand; drawing near
Also used to mean: close to Allah
Daniya (دانیہ) is the Arabic dāniya, the feminine of dānin, from the root d-n-w, "to be near". Lane's lexicon gives it as "being near, drawing near", the participle of danā. The word appears in the Quran's pictures of Paradise, where clusters of fruit hang low and near at hand, quṭūfuhā dāniya (69:23), and the shade of the garden comes close over its people (76:14). Name lists give Daniya as "near" or "close", sometimes adding "close to Allah". In Arabic the vowel of the first syllable is long, Daaniya, and some families spell it that way.
