Darsh meaning
Darsh (दर्श) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Looking at, seeing; appearance; the new-moon day
Also used to mean: vision, a name of Krishna
Darsh (दर्श) is the Sanskrit darśa, a word formed from the root dṛś, "to see". Monier-Williams gives it as "looking at, viewing" and "appearance", and also as the moon when it has just become visible, the day of the new moon, and the half-monthly sacrifice performed on that day, which is paired with the full-moon rite. The dictionary even lists Darśa as the name of a son of Kṛṣṇa in the Bhāgavata Purāṇa. Name lists give Darsh as "sight" or "vision", which fits the dictionary, and some call it a name of Krishna himself. Monier-Williams does not support that, so it appears to be a modern association. The same root gives darśan, the act of seeing and being seen by a deity.
