Dilara meaning
Dilara (دلآرا) is a Muslim girl's name of Persian origin (Urdu usage).
Beloved, a sweetheart; literally 'adorning the heart'
Also used to mean: heart's delight, adorner of the heart
Dilara (دلآرا) is a Persian compound of dil, "heart", and ārā, "adorning, decorating", so it means one who adorns or gladdens the heart. Steingass's Persian dictionary gives the word as beloved or sweetheart, and records Dilārā as the name of the wife of Dārā, the Darius of Persian legend. The name is used in Turkey, Iran and Afghanistan, and by Muslim families in India. Name lists give it as "beloved" or "one who delights the heart", in line with the dictionary.
