Ezhumalai meaning
Ezhumalai (ஏழுமலை) is a Tamil boy's name.
Seven hills: ēḻu "seven" + malai "hill"; the hills of Tirumala
Also used to mean: Lord of the Seven Hills (Venkateswara)
Ezhumalai (ஏழுமலை) means "seven hills", from Tamil ēḻu, "seven", and malai, "hill, mountain", both recorded in the Tamil Lexicon. The seven hills are those of Tirumala above Tirupati, whose peaks are traditionally likened to the seven hoods of the serpent Adisesha, and their god Venkateswara is called Ezhumalaiyan in Tamil, "lord of the seven hills". Families devoted to Tirupati give the name to sons. It is also spelled Elumalai.
