Geetesh meaning
Geetesh (गीतेश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, गी, it is a Makar rashi name (Dhanishta nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Lord of song (from gīta, song, and īśa, lord)
Also used to mean: lord of songs
Geetesh (गीतेश) joins Sanskrit gīta and īśa. Monier-Williams gives gīta as sung, chanted or praised in songs, and as a noun, singing or song; īśa is a master or lord. Together they mean "lord of song", which is how name lists give it. The compound is not in the classical dictionaries, so it is a modern name built from old words. Some families link it to the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna's "song", and some lists call it a name of Krishna, though we found no source for that. Gitesh is another spelling.
