Inam meaning
Inam (انعام) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
Bestowing a favour or blessing; in Urdu, a gift or reward
Inam (انعام) is Arabic inʿām, from anʿama, "to bestow a favour", in the root n-ʿ-m, which is all about ease, comfort and blessing. Lane's lexicon gives anʿama as conferring a favour, and niʿma as a benefit or blessing, especially one given by God; the same root gives Naim and Nauman. In Urdu and Hindi inʿām is the everyday word for a prize or reward. Name lists give "gift", "reward" or "blessing", which fits. In India it is used alone and in compounds such as Inamul Haq, "gift of the Truth".
