Jawad meaning
Jawad (جواد) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
Generous, liberal; also a swift, excellent horse
Also used to mean: noble
Jawad (جواد) is Arabic jawād, from the root j-w-d, which means to be good or excellent and to give freely. Lane's lexicon defines jawād as a generous, open-handed person, one who gives without being asked, and also as a swift, excellent horse; the Quran uses the plural jiyād for the fine horses of Sulayman (38:31). In the Shia tradition the name recalls Muhammad al-Jawad, the ninth Imam, and it is used by Sunni families too. Name lists give "generous" or "noble", which matches. It is a different word from Javed.
