Naseer meaning
Naseer (نصیر) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
A helper or aider; same sense as nāṣir
Also used to mean: supporter
Naseer (نصیر) is the Arabic naṣīr, from the same root n-ṣ-r, "to help", as Nasir. Lane gives naṣīr the same sense as nāṣir, a helper or supporter, and cites a tradition describing two brothers as naṣīrān, each the helper of the other. The Quran uses the word of God: "sufficient is God as a helper" (4:45). Name lists give Naseer as "helper" or "supporter". Although the two names are often treated as one, Nasir and Naseer are separate word forms, written differently in Arabic and Urdu script. The longer name Naseeruddin, "helper of the faith", is built on Naseer.
