Khushi meaning
Khushi (खुशी) is a Hindu girl's name of Persian origin (Hindi usage).
Happiness, gladness, delight, joy
Khushi (खुशी) is the everyday Hindi and Urdu word for "happiness". It comes from Persian khushī, formed from khush, "pleased, glad". Platts' dictionary gives its senses as "happiness, gladness, delight, joy", along with "pleasure, cheerfulness" and, in some phrases, "free will or consent": khushī se means "gladly, willingly". Because it is an ordinary word that every Hindi speaker knows, the meaning of the name is clear at once, and name lists give it simply as "happiness" or "joy", exactly as the dictionary does. As a Persian loanword shared by Hindi and Urdu, it is not tied to any one religion.
