Majida meaning
Majida (ماجدہ) is a Muslim girl's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
Glorious, noble, honourable (feminine of mājid)
Majida (ماجدہ) is the feminine of the Arabic mājid, from the root m-j-d. Lane's lexicon defines majd as glory, honour, dignity and nobility, especially nobility shown in generous deeds, and gives majīd and mājid as a person possessing it: glorious, noble, abounding in good and beneficent. Al-Majīd, "the Glorious", is one of the names of God, and the Quran calls itself qurʾān majīd, "a glorious Quran" (85:21). Name lists give Majida as "glorious" or "illustrious", in line with the dictionary. It is the female counterpart of Majid.
