Milind meaning
Milind (मिलिंद) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Marathi usage).
A bee; also the name of King Milinda (Menander)
Also used to mean: honey-seeker
Milind (मिलिंद) is Sanskrit milinda, "a bee", a word found in later Sanskrit poetry such as Jagannatha's Bhaminivilasa. Monier-Williams also records Milinda as the name of a king in Buddhist texts, identified with Menander, the Indo-Greek ruler whose questions to the monk Nagasena make up the Milinda Panha. Name lists give "bee" or "honey-seeker", which matches the dictionary; a link to Krishna on some lists is not recorded there. It is used especially in Maharashtra, and is carried by the actor and runner Milind Soman.
