Naufal meaning
Naufal (نوفل) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
A munificent man; the sea; a handsome youth
Also used to mean: generous
Naufal (نوفل) is the Arabic nawfal, an old Arabian name. Steingass's dictionary gives it a cluster of senses: the sea, a munificent or very generous man, a present, and a handsome youth, along with some animal senses such as the young of a wild beast. Name lists usually give Naufal as "generous" or "sea", drawing on the first of these. In early Islamic history the name was borne by Nawfal ibn ʿAbd Manāf, a great-great-uncle of the Prophet, and Waraqa ibn Nawfal, cousin of Khadija. The spelling Noufal is used by Muslims in Kerala.
