Pritika meaning
Pritika (प्रीतिका) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Love, joy (from prīti)
Also used to mean: beloved
Pritika (प्रीतिका) is a modern name built on Sanskrit prīti. Monier-Williams gives prīti as pleasure, joy and gladness, and as friendliness, kindness, affection and love; Prīti is also joy personified, one of the two wives of Kāmadeva, the god of love. The form prītikā is not found in the dictionaries, so the name is best understood as prīti with a gentle feminine ending, a pattern seen in modern names. Name lists give "love", "beloved" or "dear", in keeping with the root. Preetika is another spelling.
