Ritvik meaning
Ritvik (ऋत्विक) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
A priest; one who sacrifices at the proper time
Ritvik (ऋत्विक) is the Sanskrit ṛtvij, whose nominative form is ṛtvik. Monier-Williams gives its first sense as "sacrificing at the proper time, sacrificing regularly", and as a noun it is the general word for an officiating priest at a Vedic sacrifice, attested from the Rig Veda onwards. MW explains that there are usually four chief priests, the hotṛ, adhvaryu, brahman and udgātṛ, each with three assistants, making sixteen in all. Name lists give the same meaning, "priest" or "one who performs Vedic rituals". The name has several spellings, including Ritwik and Rithvik; the Bengali film-maker Ritwik Ghatak bore the form Ritwik.
