Sabir meaning
Sabir (صابر) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Patient, enduring
Sabir (صابر) is the Arabic ṣābir, the active participle of ṣabara, "to be patient, to endure". Lane's lexicon explains a whole ladder of words from this root: ṣābir is the most general, simply "patient", while ṣabbār and ṣabūr describe someone whose patience is very great. Ṣabr, patience, is praised throughout the Quran, which says of the prophet Ayyub (Job), "We found him patient" (38:44). The Chishti Sufi saint Alauddin Sabir Kaliyari, whose shrine stands at Piran Kaliyar near Roorkee, is a famous Indian bearer.
