Sradhanjali meaning
Sradhanjali (श्रद्धांजलि) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Odia usage).
An offering of faith; śraddhā, "faith", with añjali, "hands joined in reverence"
Sradhanjali (ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧାଞ୍ଜଳି, Sanskrit श्रद्धांजलि) puts together śraddhā and añjali. Śraddhā is faith, trust and confidence, and in the Rigveda Faith is even invoked as a deity. Añjali is the gesture of placing the open hands side by side, slightly hollowed, as a mark of reverence or greeting, and also what is offered in them, such as water poured out to honour the ancestors. The compound therefore describes an offering made in faith and reverence. It sits in the same family as Gitanjali and Pushpanjali, names that also end in añjali. Odia families usually spell it Sradhanjali or Shradhanjali, and in Odia script it is written ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧାଞ୍ଜଳି.
