Tayyab meaning
Tayyab (طیب) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Good, pleasant, sweet; pure, clean; the opposite of khabīth
Tayyab (طیب) is the Urdu pronunciation of the Arabic ṭayyib, from ṭāba, "to be good, pleasant". Lane's lexicon defines it as the opposite of khabīth, "foul, bad": good, pleasant, delightful and sweet in taste or smell, and also pure and clean. The Quran tells people to eat of what is "lawful and good", ḥalālan ṭayyiban (2:168), and likens a good word to a good tree (14:24). The same root gives ṭīb, "perfume", and Ṭayba, an old name of Medina.
