Tvisha meaning
Tvisha (त्विषा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Light, splendour; a daughter of the sage Marīci
Also used to mean: radiance, brilliance
Tvisha (त्विषा) is Sanskrit tviṣā, which Monier-Williams gives as "light, splendour". It belongs with the older word tviṣ, used in the Rigveda and the epics for light, brilliance, glitter and beauty, though in some Vedic hymns tviṣ also means vehemence or fury. In the Vāyu and Liṅga Purāṇas, Tviṣā is the name of a daughter of the sage Marīci. Name lists give Tvisha as "light", "radiance" or "brilliance", which matches the dictionary. It is often spelled Twisha, especially in Gujarat.
