Gunavati meaning
Gunavati (गुणवती) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Endowed with good qualities or virtues; excellent
Gunavati (गुणवती) is the feminine of Sanskrit guṇavat, from guṇa, "quality" or "virtue". Monier-Williams gives guṇavat as endowed with good qualities, virtues, merits or excellences, and so excellent or perfect. The dictionary also records Guṇavatī as a woman's name in the Harivamsa, the daughter of Sunabha and wife of Samba, the son of Krishna. Name lists give "virtuous", which matches. It is a traditional name used across India and is usually spelt Gunavathi in the South.
