Izaan meaning
Izaan (اذعان) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin (Urdu usage).
Willing submission, yielding, obedience (verbal noun of adhʿana)
Izaan (اذعان) is usually explained as Arabic idhʿān, pronounced with a z in Urdu. It comes from adhʿana, which Lane's lexicon defines as yielding willingly: acknowledging what is right and complying without being forced. The active participle mudhʿin means obedient or submissive, and the Quran uses it of people who would come to the Prophet "submissively" (24:49). Lane adds that some writers used idhʿān for "understanding", which he rejects. Name lists give "obedience" or "submission", in the sense of submission to God. Izaan is a modern name used by Indian Muslim families.
