Raheel meaning
Raheel (رحیل) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Departure, setting out on a journey
Also used to mean: traveller
Raheel (رحیل) is the Arabic raḥīl, from the root r-ḥ-l, which begins with saddling a camel and so comes to mean setting out. Lane's lexicon gives raḥīl as a camel that has been saddled, and also, in the same sense as riḥla, a removal, departure or journey. The Quran's Surah Quraysh speaks of the winter and summer journeys of the Meccan caravans with the word riḥla (106:2). Name lists give Raheel as "traveller" or "departure", close to the dictionary sense. The name is used in Pakistan and by Indian Muslims.
