Rakshit meaning
Rakshit (रक्षित) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Guarded, protected, saved, preserved
Rakshit (रक्षित) is Sanskrit rakṣita, from the verb rakṣ, "to guard, protect". Monier-Williams gives guarded, protected, saved, preserved, and notes it as the name of a teacher of medicine and of a grammarian; the feminine Rakṣitā is an apsaras in the Mahābhārata. Name lists give "protected", the same sense. Rakshith is the spelling used in Karnataka, where the actor-director Rakshit Shetty is a well-known bearer. Rakshita is the girl's form.
