Sampurna meaning
Sampurna (सम्पूर्णा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Bengali usage).
Completely full, as the moon; complete, whole, entire
Sampurna (सम्पूर्णा, Bengali সম্পূর্ণা) is the feminine of the Sanskrit sam-pūrṇa, formed from the prefix sam-, "together, altogether", and pūrṇa, "filled, full". Monier-Williams gives it as completely filled or full, a sense also used of the moon, and as complete, whole, entire, abundant and fulfilled. In music the word named a scale that uses every note of the gamut, and the feminine sampūrṇā was the name of a particular Ekādaśī, the eleventh day of a lunar fortnight. Bengali says the name with an "sh" sound and a rounded first vowel, close to "shom-poor-na". A well-known bearer is the Kolkata-born actress Sampurna Lahiri, who made her film debut in 2012.
