Shishir meaning
Shishir (शिशिर) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Cool, chilly; coolness, dew; the cool season of late winter
Shishir (शिशिर) is Sanskrit śiśira, "cool, chilly". Monier-Williams gives the adjective as cool, cold or frosty, and the noun as coolness, hoarfrost or dew, and as the cool, dewy season of late winter, roughly mid-January to mid-March, one of the six Indian seasons. It is also the name of a mountain and of several mythological figures, among them a son of Dhara and Manoharā. Name lists give Shishir as "winter" or "cool". In the cycle of seasons it follows hemanta and comes before vasanta, spring.
