Sunita meaning
Sunita (सुनीता) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Well led, well-conducted; good conduct, wisdom, prudence
Sunita (सुनीता) is the feminine of Sanskrit su-nīta, from su-, "well", and nīta, "led". Monier-Williams gives the adjective as "well led or guided", "well managed" and "well-conducted", citing the Mahabharata, and the neuter noun as "good or wise conduct, wisdom, prudence". As a name it carries this sense of good conduct and sound judgement. It should not be confused with Sunīti, the name of the mother of Dhruva in the Puranas, which is a different word. Indian name lists give Sunita as "well-behaved" or "of good conduct", in line with the dictionary. A well-known bearer is the NASA astronaut Sunita Williams.
