Swati meaning
Swati (स्वाति) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
The star Arcturus, forming a lunar mansion (nakshatra)
Swati (स्वाति) is the Sanskrit name of the bright star Arcturus. Monier-Williams gives svāti as the star that forms one of the lunar mansions, or nakshatras, numbered the thirteenth or fifteenth depending on the list, and cites it from the Atharvaveda onwards; in the usual modern list of twenty-seven it is the fifteenth. The dictionary also records Svāti as one of the wives of the Sun, and notes that a person born under the star could be called svāti. A famous bearer was Swathi Thirunal, the nineteenth-century Maharaja of Travancore and composer, whose name refers to his birth star. Indian name lists give Swati as a star, in line with the dictionary.
