Vallabh meaning
Vallabh (वल्लभ) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Beloved above all, dear; a favourite, friend, lover; supreme
Vallabh (वल्लभ) is the Sanskrit vallabha, "beloved above all, dear". Monier-Williams also gives it as a favourite, a friend, a lover or husband, and a cowherd, and as an adjective "supreme". In devotional poetry it is joined to names of Krishna's companions, as in Gopivallabha, "beloved of the gopis". The best-known bearer is Vallabhacharya (c. 1478–1530), the philosopher who founded the Pushtimarg tradition of Krishna worship, and the name lives on in Vallabhbhai Patel, the statesman known as Sardar Patel. Name lists give it as "beloved" or "dear", matching the dictionary. It is used in Gujarat.
