Faizan meaning
Faizan (فیضان) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
An overflowing; abundance; in Persian and Urdu also grace, favour, bounty
Also used to mean: beneficence, generosity
Faizan (فیضان) is Arabic fayaḍān, one of the verbal nouns of fāḍa, "to overflow". Lane's lexicon describes the verb as water overflowing or pouring forth from fullness and becoming abundant. Steingass gives the Persian fayaẓān the same senses as fayẓ: plenty and abundance, and also favour, grace and bounty. This explains the meanings on name lists, "grace", "beneficence" or "generosity": goodness that overflows to others. Faiz (فیض) and Fayyaz (فیاض) come from the same root. In India the name is also spelled Faizaan.
