Fawaz meaning
Fawaz (فواز) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
One who often wins or succeeds (intensive form from fawz, success)
Also used to mean: successful, victorious, winner
Fawaz (فواز) is formed from the Arabic root f-w-z, "to win, to attain what is good", on the pattern faʿʿāl, which describes someone who does a thing often or abundantly; it therefore means a person who often succeeds. The word itself is not entered in Lane's or Steingass's dictionaries, but its root is: Lane explains fāza as to attain or win good fortune, or whatever one desired, and Steingass gives fauz as success, gain and victory. Name lists give "successful" or "victorious", which follow from the root. The name is also spelled Fawwaz.
