Gaurangi meaning
Gaurangi (गौरांगी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Having a fair or yellowish body (feminine of gaurāṅga); also cardamom
Also used to mean: fair-complexioned, Radha
Gaurangi (गौरांगी) is the feminine of Sanskrit gaurāṅga, "having a white or yellowish body". The first part is gaura, which Monier-Williams glosses as white, yellowish or pale red, and also as shining or beautiful; the second is aṅga, "body". Gauranga is a name of the Bengali saint Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. The dictionary also records gaurāṅgī as an old word for cardamom. Name lists give Gaurangi as "fair-complexioned" and connect it with Radha; we found no dictionary sense for that link.
