Srividya meaning
Srividya (श्रीविद्या) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Exalted knowledge; a form of the goddess Durgā
Also used to mean: wealth of knowledge
Srividya (श्रीविद्या) joins śrī, "splendour, fortune", with vidyā, "knowledge, learning". Monier-Williams lists śrīvidyā as "exalted science" and as "a form of Durgā". Srividya is also the name of a living Shakta tradition that worships the goddess as Lalita Tripurasundari through a sacred mantra and the Sri Chakra. Name lists explain Srividya as "wealth of knowledge", which follows the two parts. The name is used in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The actress Srividya worked in Malayalam and Tamil films.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Durga.
