Tarun meaning
Tarun (तरुण) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Young, tender; new, fresh; a youth
Tarun (तरुण) is the Sanskrit taruṇa, "young, tender, juvenile", found as early as the Ṛgveda and Atharvaveda; Monier-Williams compares the Greek terēn, "tender". In the epics and Kālidāsa it also means new or fresh: a sun that has just risen, or a feeling that has just begun. As a noun it means a youth, and in compounds a fresh sprout or shoot. The dictionary also records Taruṇa as the name of a sage of the eleventh Manvantara in the Harivaṃśa. Indian name lists give Tarun as "young" or "youthful", which matches. Its feminine, taruṇī, means a young woman.
