Rasheed meaning
Rasheed (رشید) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Following the right way; of sound mind; a divine epithet
Also used to mean: rightly guided, wise
Rasheed (رشید) is the Arabic rashīd, from the root r-sh-d, "to follow the right course". Lane's lexicon gives rashīd, like rāshid, as one who takes or follows the right way, in a road or in an affair, and records al-Rashīd as an epithet of God, the One who directs to the right way. In the Quran, Lot asks his people, "Is there not among you a man of right mind?" (11:78). Name lists give Rasheed as "rightly guided" or "wise". The Abbasid caliph Hārūn al-Rashīd made the epithet famous.
