Shahbaz meaning
Shahbaz (شہباز) is a Muslim boy's name of Persian origin.
Royal falcon; figuratively a noble, generous or brave man
Shahbaz (شہباز) joins Persian shah, "king", and bāz, "falcon". Steingass gives shah-bāz as the noblest kind of falcon and, figuratively, a noble or generous man, a brave soldier or an excellent youth; the form shāh-bāz is a royal falcon. Falconry was a sport of kings in Persia and Mughal India, which gave the word its prestige. The Sufi saint Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, whose shrine is at Sehwan in Sindh, bore the name, and the spinner Shahbaz Nadeem is a modern Indian bearer.
