Ashrith meaning
Ashrith (आश्रित) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
One who has taken refuge or shelter; dependent; sought as a refuge
Also used to mean: protected
Ashrith (आश्रित) is the Sanskrit āśrita, from ā- and the verb śri, "to lean on, to rest on". Monier-Williams gives it as attached to, resorting to someone as a refuge or shelter, dependent on, and dwelling in a place, and also, in the other direction, as "taken as a refuge". The same root gives āśraya, "shelter, refuge". In a devotional name it carries the sense of one who has taken refuge in God. Name lists give Ashrith as "one who has taken refuge" or "protected", which fit the dictionary. The name is used in Telugu and Kannada families.
