Mahika meaning
Mahika (महिका) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Mist, frost
Also used to mean: dew, earth
Mahika (महिका) is a genuine but rare Sanskrit word. Monier-Williams records mahikā as mist or frost and treats it as another form of mihikā, which means snow, mist or fog and, in the old word lists, camphor. Name lists today give "dew", "mist" and "earth". The first two sit comfortably with the dictionary. We found no sense of "earth" for mahikā itself; the similar-looking Sanskrit word mahī does mean the earth, but it is a separate word. As a given name Mahika is modern, and we found no bearers of it in the epics or other classical texts.
